All Native Group is seeking a qualified Medical Social Worker to support the US State Department Bureau of Medicine in Washington, DC. This position is located within the Bureau of Medical Services, Directorate for Clinical Programs, reporting to the Deputy Medical Director for Clinical Services. The incumbent will be responsible for collaborating with all USG agencies with a goal of improving the health of our MED eligible patients while on medical travel and during health alerts around the world. They will be proficient in learning all the benefits and resources available to employees from all agencies. They will also be familiar with community and insurance provided resources to assist patients while on medical travel. The incumbent will work to improve the resilience, health, and well-being of patients engaged in or eligible for medical travel or affected by worldwide health alerts.
Duties and Responsibilities
This role will support the Family Advocacy Committee (FAC), which oversees cases involving allegations of child abuse, child neglect, and domestic violence. This role requires exceptional coordination and communication skills, the ability to effectively engage with leadership, and expertise in delivering additional support, such as webinars on relevant topics. Staying informed on current industry standards and best practices is essential. The FAC case manager will serve as the primary point of contact for managing, updating, and providing case-related information to the Director of Mental Health Programs. They will regularly communicate with regional psychiatrists and other MED staff who report allegations of child abuse or neglect. Additionally, they will serve as a subject matter expert on all matters related to child abuse and domestic violence, providing resources to the field and overseas communities on prevention strategies. Key responsibilities include organizing webinars for provider-to-provider support, guiding personnel on handling cases at post, and fostering collaboration with Diplomatic Security. The case manager will also provide regular case updates to the director and the multidisciplinary FAC team and will present case summaries for review. Strong written communication skills, attention to detail in case management, and proficiency in data analysis are critical for success in this role.
Qualifications
The candidate will have a Master’s in Social Work with a focus in Medical Social Work and at least 5 years of experience working in a medical social work setting.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
