Summary
All Native Group is seeking a Medevac Coordinator to support the Bureau of Medical Services, Foreign Programs Office. He/she assists in the oversight of medical evacuations worldwide, and directly case manages medical evacuations to the United States for more than 45,000 official Americans and family members at 275 embassies, consulates, and other missions overseas. The Practitioner will work with senior DOS management, management officials at post and patients to facilitate movement of the patient for Medical Evacuation (Medevac) purposes. The Practitioner is expected to use his/her knowledge and ability to find the appropriate solution for questions regarding medevacs and if there is a question, know when to request assistance from the DOS manager and their designees. The Practitioner will provide relevant information from Department of State policies and procedures to all patients and management officials at post. The Practitioner will be required to become familiar with the Department of State Foreign Affairs Manuals (FAM) and the Foreign Affairs Handbook (FAH) as it refers to medical evacuations.
Essential Functions
Competencies
The candidate must have an active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements listed above, it is preferable the applicant have experience working with the Department of State Medical Program, or specialized work experience (federal or other) that is performing ongoing case management, making recommendations to a health Medical Officer; experience conducting independent research and analysis.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
