Summary

The Senior Account Manager Strategic Growth defines business strategies for existing and new clients by applying knowledge based on the  market across the Federal and Department of Defense arena. This role is pivotal in not only ensuring retention and growth of the existing client base through individual and team efforts, delivering profitable quality service but also identifying and growing new customers and solutions. The Senior Account Manager manages client, builds robust customer relationships, and ensures the organization is viewed as a key partner. This role is instrumental in positioning the organization favorably for award decisions made by agencies. The Senior Account Manager manages, escalates, and drives satisfactory resolution of customers’ technical support, training, service, and infrastructure issues based on the organization's clients in the management of technical issues and collaborates in planning, implementation, skills and knowledge transfer, and day-to-day operation of new/upgraded solutions.

 

Essential Functions: 

The Senior Account Manager is a crucial member of the capture and business development team, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with agencies and related clients. The primary focus is to drive revenue growth by identifying business opportunities, selling solutions or services, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Sales and Business Development:

- Identify and prospect potential  solutions and services through research, networking, and referrals.

- Understand agency needs to provide tailored solutions.

- Conduct product presentations to showcase how the company's offerings address challenges.

- Develop and execute effective capture strategies for the sector.

- Negotiate and close deals beneficial for both the client and the company.

May be requested and required to participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertise.

 

Relationship Management: 

- Establish rapport with agencies and clients.

- Maintain regular communication for updates and feedback.

- Anticipate agency needs and propose solutions.

- Foster long-lasting relationships for repeat business.

 

Account Coordination: 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless client experiences in the space sector.

- Coordinate projects and deliverables to meet  agency expectations.

- Address any related issues or challenges.

 

Market and Competitive Analysis: 

- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

- Provide insights to internal teams to enhance product offerings.

 

Sales Reporting and Documentation: 

- Maintain records of agency interactions and sales activities.

- Generate sales reports and performance metrics for management.

 

Qualifications: 

Work Environment: 

This position operates in a professional office and remote environment. Standard office equipment is used.

 

Physical Demands: 

- Remain stationary 85% of the time.

- Operate office machinery.

- Move office equipment up to 25 pounds.

- Work indoors 95% of the time.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours as required.

 

Travel: 

Travel primarily to agency locations. Travel as required as necessary.

 

Experience: 

- 15+ years business capture.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and generate revenue.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications: 

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of space acquisition models.

- Experience in proposal development.

- Multitasking and attention to detail.

- Results-driven and highly motivated.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
