SUMMARY
The IT Auditor has responsibility for supporting federal customer and plans, conducts and leads audit teams in conducting difficult assignments that typically involve relationships between and among programs, systems, functions, policies, and various issues. The audits conducted involve financial records and systems or consist of activities to review and evaluate the performance of an entity's assigned functions or activities involved in the detection of fraud, waste, and abuse. In addition, the contractor directs and/or performs specialized audits in the information technology area including security assessments and evaluations of controls related to hardware/software applications/platforms, network and telecommunication infrastructures, operational practices, utilization of information system resources and system development, and acquisition.
Essential Functions
With a professional comprehensive knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of professional accounting and auditing, and knowledge of organizational practices, the contractor plans and coordinates audits or participates on a team of auditors in assisting with audits of organizational entities. Most of the audits involve the identification and analysis of numerous factors in the organization's programs, operations, and systems. In connection with audits where the supervisor has determined that the contractor is fully capable of addressing the issues and problems that are anticipated, the contractor may be assigned to lead a small team of lower-graded auditors in conducting the audits. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. We offer a hybrid remote work environment, and typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours as required by business need.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience preferred
