Summary

Fire Creek Company, a division of All Native Group and Ho Chunk, Incorporated, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and documenting all parts, materials, tools, and services required to sustain the SAG-U vehicle fleet under this performance-based contract. Supporting the Security Assistance Group–Ukraine (SAG-U) mission, this position ensures timely acquisition of OEM and approved commercial components necessary to maintain fleet readiness, armored vehicle integrity, and Mobile Repair Unit (MRU) responsiveness.

Working in a forward contingency environment, the Procurement Specialist ensures all acquisitions comply with contract terms, Government authorization requirements, Host Nation regulations, and internal quality control procedures.

 

Essential functions

  • Parts & Materials Procurement
    • Source and procure vehicle parts, armored components, tools, consumables, and maintenance materials in support of preventive and corrective maintenance.
    • Ensure all parts meet OEM specifications or Government-approved standards.
    • Coordinate urgent and priority procurements to prevent degradation of the Mission Capable (MC) rate.
    • Support MRU readiness through rapid acquisition of field-repair components.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Maintain vendor relationships and identify reliable local and international suppliers.
    • Track lead times, delivery schedules, and backorders to mitigate downtime.
    • Implement proactive sourcing strategies to reduce parts delays and supply chain risk.
    • Maintain visibility of high-failure-rate components and recommend stock adjustments.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure all purchases are authorized in accordance with contract scope and Government direction.
    • Maintain complete procurement documentation for audit readiness, including quotes, invoices, delivery confirmations, and cost justifications.
    • Support reporting requirements related to parts procurement and supply chain performance.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and import/export regulations applicable to Host Nation operations.
  • Inventory & Accountability
    • Maintain accurate inventory records for high-value, long-lead, and critical components.
    • Track usage rates and forecast resupply requirements.
    • Coordinate with maintenance leadership to align procurement actions with scheduled preventive maintenance and anticipated repairs.
    • Ensure secure storage and positive accountability of sensitive or high-value parts.
  • Risk Mitigation
    • Identify risks related to parts shortages, vendor instability, customs delays, or transportation disruptions.
    • Develop contingency sourcing plans to maintain continuity of operations.
    • Coordinate closely with the Contract Manager and Deputy to mitigate impacts to fleet readiness.
  • Financial & Cost Control Support
    • Support cost management objectives by obtaining competitive pricing and evaluating best-value solutions.
    • Assist with labor and material reporting for Service Contract Reporting (SAM) and invoicing documentation.
    • Monitor procurement expenditures against authorized budgets and notify management of cost variances.

 

Competencies

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or parts sourcing.
  • Experience sourcing automotive, heavy vehicle, or armored vehicle components preferred.
  • Familiarity with vendor negotiations and cost analysis.
  • Strong record-keeping and documentation management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a high-tempo, contingency environment.

 

Supervisory Responsibility 

None required for this position.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
  • Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is full time position. Will conform to Ukraine’s policies around maximum work hours.

 

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

 

Security Clearance

None required. Successful candidate will complete a full US Department of Defense background check.
