Summary

Fire Creek Company, a division of All Native Group and Ho Chunk, Incorporated, is seeking a Runner / Operations Assistant to provide direct logistical, administrative, and operational support to the fleet maintenance team supporting the Security Assistance Group–Ukraine (SAG-U) mission. This position ensures timely movement of parts, documents, tools, and vehicles while assisting mechanics, procurement staff, and contract leadership in maintaining smooth daily operations.

Working in a forward contingency environment, the Runner / Operations Assistant plays a critical role in maintaining workflow efficiency, supporting Mobile Repair Unit (MRU) activities, and ensuring operational readiness standards are met.

 

Essential Functions

  • Logistics & Parts Movement
    • Pick up and deliver vehicle parts, materials, and supplies from approved vendors and Government-designated locations.
    • Transport documentation, purchase orders, and maintenance paperwork as required.
    • Assist in expediting urgent parts required to maintain fleet Mission Capable (MC) rates.
    • Coordinate with the Procurement Specialist to confirm deliveries and maintain receipt documentation.
  • Maintenance Support
    • Assist mechanics with non-technical tasks such as staging tools, organizing parts, cleaning work areas, and preparing vehicles for service.
    • Support MRU dispatch preparation by loading equipment, tools, and consumables.
    • Support preventive maintenance scheduling logistics and shop organization.
  • Inventory & Accountability Support
    • Assist with tool control inventory and accountability checks.
    • Support tracking of keys, spare keys, and vehicle documentation under supervision.
    • Maintain orderly storage areas for parts and equipment.

 

  • Administrative Assistance
    • Support the Deputy Contract Manager / Office Manager with filing, document control, and record organization.
    • Assist in preparing routine reports, copying/scanning documents, and maintaining organized contract files.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle movement, shop operations, and hazardous material handling.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance facility.
    • Immediately report safety hazards, spills, or security concerns to supervisors.
    • Ensure compliance with Host Nation traffic laws and facility access requirements when operating vehicles.

Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Host Nation compliant).
  • Ability to operate light vehicles safely in a contingency environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate-weight materials and tools.
  • Ability to work in a high-tempo operational environment.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
  • Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is full time position. Will conform to Ukraine’s policies around maximum work hours.

 

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.

 

Security Clearance

None required. Successful candidate will complete a full US Department of Defense background check.
